1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Staying at Casa Corcovado on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica! The lodge was very remote, so we felt completely immersed in nature.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Both places we stayed had "package deals" - most tourists spent three nights and two days. The two days included guided tours with large groups of people, which were guided and very informative. However, the best decision we made was to stay an extra day or two in each place. That way we were able to spend a day exactly as we wanted, by ourselves. This included two very peaceful kayaking days and one day on a beach entirely alone!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Absolutely. Both lodges were run using environmentally sound practices and employed local guides who had grown up among the flora and fauna of the area. Their knowledge was invaluable.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

A once in a lifetime experience; a perfect honeymoon!
