1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It was all exciting to be fair, but the highlights were probably the many boat trips - Nah Trang and Halong bay. Also the Mekong Delta, Hue and Hoi An were amazing places to visit. I loved the contrast between Hanoi and Saigon (both awesome cities). The Cu Chi tunnels were very memorable - as being horrific, but essential to see an absolute must.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't take travellers cheques, they were such a pain to change up. Stick to Dong and Dollars. Take a good guide book with you, as on your afternoons off you can choose restaurants or have a massage or see other sights, without ours we would have been limited. Smile smile smile at the locals, they may seem unsure sometimes but a smile from you and they're fine.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Absolutely. Great to visit sights or communities that tourist don't see and support directly those communities. The guides advice about beggars was useful.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I had a great time, but I will say the 40 year age difference between the group (6 were 68+ and 2 were 30!!) had a massive effect on my enjoyment. I should have been made aware of the group dynamic (especially as it was such a huge difference) as I would not have gone ahead. That said, I did enjoy it and pleased I went but wouldn't do it again with a similar group.
