1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Visiting the cloud forest in Monteverde, observing beautiful wildlife in its natural habitat. One of the most beautiful countries we have visited with very friendly people. The provision of our own driver and tour director made sure all our needs were met and everything went smoothly.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Avoid the Easter Holy week, if possible. It gets very busy with local holidaymakers. Follow the helpful guidance provided by the tour operator. Avoid Miami International Airport for transfer flights at all costs (we experienced missed connections both going out and returning). I would not recommend American Airlines for service and efficiency.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
I believe so - opportunities could be provided for greater contribution (eg spending an afternoon assisting with rainforest conservation).
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent - would certainly visit Costa Rica again.
