Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Near Mari we had a tyre blow out on the bus and had to stop to get it fixed. Within minutes the whole village had turned out to see what was going on and wanted photos taking and to talk to us. We were only 10 miles from the Iraq boarder but the people could not have been any more friendly. In some ways it was the high spot of the holiday. The other major thing was Palmyra by sunrise -absolutely stunning!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don’t over pack, don’t miss the early morning camel ride to the Palmyra ruins for sunrise. Talk to the local people they want to practice their English and are really keen to talk to you.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes local cafes and guides were used and small locally run hotels.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Best ever!
