Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I enjoyed all of it, I have to say. In particular, visiting Sighisoara and Sibiu brings back nice memories. Sighisoara for the medieval experience and the luck of arriving there in the middle of a festival, but also for the very special accommodation at Casa cu Cerb. Sibiu is a splendid town, and again we seemed to be lucky, as we arrived in the middle of another festival. We enjoyed it so much that we gave up the rest of our trip (well, it was just the transfer to Bucharest, but still, a nice drive) to stay there for a few more hours.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take sickness medicine with you. Three people out of 5 in my group ended up with stomach problems. Also, if you suffer from car sickness take something for that as the roads are 'interesting' to put it mildly. And make sure the bus has air conditioning.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
I think the holiday did benefit local people. We went to unusual places and met unusual people, definitely out of the beaten track and as far as I can tell the people we met chose to be in this business and were quite happy to meet us. I trust responsible travel to do something about the impact on the environment. Minimising the impact though means not travelling at all and that's not a choice I want to make.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was excellent.
