Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The beautiful Herefordshire countryside, the lovely views and the pretty black and white villages. The great view from The Hermitage is something I often think about as it was wonderful.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for any type of weather! I went in early June and on the first day is was 9 degrees Centigrade. There are many interesting places to visit so you need to get a few ideas before you arrive so you make the most of your time there.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, as we had so much to see in a relatively small area. We visited many historical places of interest which were all within an hour of our accommodation. We shopped locally, buying local produce, and ate in local restaurants.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
The Hermitage is a wonderful location for a holiday, the accommodation is extremely comfortable and there are lots of little touches that make it special. It is the kind of place you can visit at any time of year. Herefordshire is a lovely county with lots to see and do and is relatively undiscovered and unspoilt. I look forward to going back again.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
For the adults, the comfort, views and walks. For the children, building dens in the woods and feeding the sheep.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Bring wellies, binoculars and a large scale map.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Recycling, shopping locally and minimizing fuel use were encouraged. Eco-friendly products such as washing up liquid were provided. However, a compost bucket in the house (there is a compost heap) and a washing up bowl would have been good. We certainly spent a lot at the brilliant village shop!
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Wonderful. We would like to go back in the summer and make use of increased daylight. The children loved it. They could romp in the woods safely - as the crow flies they were very close to the house, yet they felt as though they were in the wilds.

The wide expanse of beautiful grounds, true relaxation, view of hills rolling off to the infinite, birdsong in the gardens.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take your own travel cot if you have a baby, some walking shoes and be ready to enjoy life.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Definitely minimised impact on the environment - great eco-friendly precepts put into practice wherever possible, lovely vegetarian three course meal made with veg and herbs from the garden etc.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Lovely. Perfect break from the city.
