Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

Honeymoon to Turkey, Watermill, independent reviews

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Absolutely everything! This was our honeymoon and it didn't disappoint in any small way whatsoever. If I had to choose one thing I would say the tranquillity in the cool mountainside location (a welcome respite from the baking Turkish heat of August) and the food. Oh, that’s two things, sorry!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Book early! You will probably need a car as we had because the mountain road up to the hotel means it's a little out of the way (this is a good thing).

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Absolutely. The food was all locally grown and sourced and organic. The staff group was drawn from the local village and their vegetables and produce were also snapped up for the hotel guests too. The whole hotel is situated on a mountain spring which not only provides crystal clear fresh drinking water which you are encouraged to drink as much of as possible during your stay but it also fills the swimming pool so there is no need for chlorine in the water, it is changed weekly.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Most definitely one of the most memorable holidays and hotels of our lives. We simply cannot recommend this hotel highly enough it is just beautiful and the owner Brigitte is the most gracious hostess ever. We aim to return again next year.
