1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The tranquil position of our accommodation at Kontoyiannas House in Kalavasos. Set within a pleasant & friendly village in the valley and only minutes drive from one of the loveliest beaches we discovered in Cyprus.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
To make the most of the self-catering accommodation including the bbq since the variety of menus in the island's taverns & restaurants is generally very limited. Kontoyiannas House would also be great to rent for a group of families - using all 4 apartments & enjoying the shared pretty courtyard. Beware that Cyprus is not a cheap holiday destination. We found it was as expensive as being in the UK.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes more so than if we'd stayed in an all inclusive hotel. We bought groceries from local stores, recycled where we could and ate as much local produce as possible.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very good
