Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Several things made this trip memorable.
1)The people I met - a real mix of different ages and backgrounds that you wouldn't necessarily meet at home within your normal social circles. We all got on really well and I felt it was definitely a "group" holiday where we all socialised together even in our spare time.
2)Experiencing new activities like canyonning which was both exciting and challenging.
3) Doing things you wouldn't be able to do as a tourist visiting the country on your own, like having an authentic Turkish lunch at the house of a Turkish family in the middle of the mountains.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't be worried about going on your own. I was one of 6 people in our group that was travelling alone and within a few minutes of arriving you knew everybody and it was like you were there with a group of your friends.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes. Our tour guide and bus driver were Turkish and the place we stayed and ate at were run by locals.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Canyoning. Absolutely brilliant and I want to do it again, soon!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Ignore the trip notes. Apart from a sturdy pair of boots and a little bag for water you don't need anything special.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

It certainly benefited some locals. We ate in local houses or restaurants and all the staff were local. I'm not sure it is possible to travel by aeroplane and feel that you are not destroying the environment!
