Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The scenery, the lack of signs of any kind of civilisation as far as could be seen, the changing weather, being out in the weather and alive to it all the time.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

It is really hard work! Make sure you bring good waterproofs, including waterproof gloves for paddling on cold days, and your feet will get wet, wetsuit boots are good, sealskin socks are too. A really good sleeping mat makes all the difference to how well you sleep and so how tired you get over the week. and if you drink, bring some booze!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

It must have benefited a few locals, but not many. Don't think it can have had much negative impact on the local environment, and probably less harmful impact on the environment than a normal week I live would have done.

4. Any other comments?

4 stars! I am planning next year's trip already!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

All of it was great!! We had a windy day on the last day and had to raft the canoes together so that was good to learn new canoe skills. Great guides who made sure we were well fed and looked after :)

Also the home made cakes for afternoon teas were a great personalised touch which also meant less packaging!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring some dry gel for hand washing and marshmellows for the camp fires!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Min impact on the environment - the guides were very strict on leaving the campsites clean and tidy, collecting all rubbish etc. which was a good thing.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

BRILLIANT!!
