Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

Transylvania holiday, Romania, independent reviews

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Romania is a very beautiful country and it was exciting to visit it in spring when everything was in bloom and the landscape was turning to green. It was also wonderful to be outside of Bucaresti and we feel that we got a better picture of everything because we were able to see places like Sigisoara and Sibiu.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
You must be prepared for both the poverty and the astounding amount of garbage and rubbish that is everywhere. Hotels were generally good although the Lido in Bucaresti may need to be looked at again. No A/C and situated on two very busy streets.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Well, we provided a week of employment to someone to act as our guide throughout the countryside. We also made direct monetary donations to a couple of organizations which provide food directly to children. We made sure that we dealt with our own personal garbage responsibly.
