1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The train Journey from Bangkok, the days on the Mekong and the guided tour of Bangkok.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

There are not too many high spots on this holiday, as it misses out the main sights. This is a rather low key trip and some of it is very beautiful. It does take you to less visited areas. Prepare for two full days of travelling at the end to get to Phenom Phen.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Definitely relations with local people were respectful and brought benefits to them.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Variable accommodation made it a rather stressful trip for some of the time. People on the tour did not have equal accommodation. Some participants had luxury accommodation while on the same nights others were in poor standard accommodation without bathroom facilities. The operator should commit to booking the same standard of accommodation for all participants.

Regarding the comments concerning accommodation, it is highly unusual for accommodation to vary between a group within one tour. However, sometimes if people book at the very last minute and at Christmas it is not always possible to secure the best accommodation and we would not consider downgrading the accommodation of those who booked early - there were also two members of UK office staff travelling on this tour and neither they nor the tour leader would necessarily expect their accommodation to be of the same standard as our customers.
