Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Loads of memories especially rafting - great activity for last day - pure thrills and some spills! And something whole of our group did together - we were literally all in the same boat! Great rock climbing - I hadn't climbed for 20 years and the guide gave me the confidence to try some really challenging, leg wobbling routes - brilliant boost to self esteem! Give me more!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Relax and trust this operator to give you a good time!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes - it felt good to stay in a small/quiet guest house who were glad of our business and fantastically hospitable and accommodating of our needs. Really good to have a local guide who was passionate about being in the mountains, extremely competent and someone I could put my trust in completely when it came to safety. I used to be an outdoor pursuits instructor myself so I guess I knew what to look for and I was impressed.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Brilliant! For me as an adventurous parent on my own with 2 adventurous teenagers it was a great holiday. Once I'd got us to the plane I didn't have to think about organising anything and everything was as good if not better than we expected. We got on really well with the other family and because we were of similar ability the guide selected activities to the ability of the group. This was no ordinary holiday - we were all challenged at some point during the week and came away with a huge sense of achievement as well as having had a week of laughter and of course lots of screaming!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Each of us had different highlights - Via Ferrata, canyoning, white water rafting, but the best bit was the scenery - lovely location.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Sort out the free day's activities as soon as you arrive. The organisers were not very good at this, and failed to contact the paragliding instructors in time to make a flight a possibility.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Little environmental benefit, but the activities were all arranged through a local outdoor pursuits company.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The activities were great, the accommodation was fine, we met some really nice people and the kids loved it. The organisers could have been better and they could have encouraged travel by train rather than by air/taxi as there is a train station with good connections 200 meters from the hotel.
