Shopped and ate in the locality - very friendly village. Provided lunches made from local produce where possible.

Excellent. Am considering a repeat visit in future.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Walking up a dry river bed and emerging to glorious sunshine and amazing views of the mountains and sea.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Remember it's a walking holiday and expect to climb some hills. You'll be well looked after from the moment of arrival to departure.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

We ate at local restaurants in the village and other food was bought locally. Not sure about minimizing environmental impact - we did fly there after all.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The variety of walks, local authentic food and the friendliness of the local people.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be well kitted out for walking, ie plenty of sun screen - wear a hat! During the summer, undertake the walks in the morning thereby avoiding possible heat exhaustion.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, we attempted to shop for groceries in the local village and eat out at the local restaurants. During our walks we were very conscious about not leaving any rubbish.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was an excellent break for people who are not lovers of the beach. Good exercise, good food, good wine - what a holiday should be all about. Obviously, lots of opportunities for relaxing at the end of walks.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We enjoyed being able to walk on good paths in out of the way places at a pace and distance that suited us. For us it was not about the distance travelled, it was the journey itself and we saw some fantastice views, unusual plants and interesting places. The organisation was excellent and every care was taken for our safety without spoiling the experience. The picnic lunches were fab!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take ear plugs - we arrived in the Spanish election season which can be very noisy late into the night!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Getting to live in an actual house with a Mediterranean view in the beautiful village of Torrox, delicious picnic lunches with beautiful mountain vistas.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We were a bit worried about finding vegetarian food in Spain. The vegetarian lunches from Dave and Gill were great, but dinners were a wildcard. We found a great local vegetarian caterer who we'd recommend to other vegetarians in the region.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes.

We really enjoyed our holiday. Dave and Gill were attentive, thoughtful and welcoming hosts. They made strenuous efforts to ensure we enjoyed our time by taking us around the village and giving an info'pack covering all necessary information. We also were given a Spanish mobile to allow us to stay in contact and the packed lunches were superb. The accommodation was very comfortable and we wanted for nothing (even a birthday present for my husband!).Dave was meticulous in his arrangements, picking us up from the airport, taking and picking us up from the walks and even arranging a trip to Granada -both Dave and Gill were so obliging.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The most memorable aspect of the holiday was our last walk-not because it was a superb walk but because it was challenging. My husband loved it because it was like going thru' the jungle, I hated it because I was covered in scratches and fell in the river and my daughter thought my antics were funny. So memorable!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Tips for other travellers-go on this holiday and wear long trousers for the Imman walk!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

We used all local facilities and bought local produce (honey not gin!).

4. Any other comments?

Although I couldn't give this holiday 5 stars, this bears no reflection on the holiday but on other more diverse and expensive holidays that we have been on. This is a 4star holiday at a very reasonable price and we will definitely go again. This holiday gave our world a break. The real significance of this review is the length of it as I type with 2 fingers and usually limit my response to single words!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The La Fuerta walk up the mountain and back again. Challenging, breathtaking, and ultimately satisfying.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Explain your level of fitness in advance so you can tailor the walks properly.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Probably, but it was hard to tell. I have to confess that there were rather more English people in the town than I had expected.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Enjoyable. Gill and Dave were incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. As we were quite fit, the walks would have benefited from being more challenging and longer.
