Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
So much of it was both memorable and exciting - the fantastic dunes of the Namib Desert, the daily sunrise and sunset rituals, the fantastic local guides and the singing on the delta trip, good campsites and company - a fantastic way to see the highlights.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Go for it - be prepared for a lot of driving and a lot of early mornings but the scenery makes this more than worth it. Take more money than recommended for markets, snacks and meals not included.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Hard to say too much on this - the local guides used were excellent on all counts and it was nice to see a review system of local polers used in the deltas to ensure that the good ones got more employment. However, this trip is primarily about the sights and the fantastic delta trip was the only sustained time spent with locals as it's hard to squeeze much more in. In general the campsites minimised use of water where possible and in Namibia in particular had recycling bins as standard - it would have been nice to see this in other campsites though and also perhaps on the truck.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic - really exceeded our expectations on all counts - we didn't want to come home and will certainly return to Africa!
