1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Just being outside the whole week, literally carrying everything we needed with us.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don’t bring many clothes, the list provided is accurate.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Non polluting as we were in kayaks and sleeping out, all spare food went to the goats. We kept away from Muslim people on the beaches so as not to offend them, but any we did meet were very friendly.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Stunning coastlines and great people; my favourite part was kayaking into this fabulous cave where the light turned the whole cave a beautiful blue colour.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
I'd just go ahead and book it. There's nothing at all wrong with this holiday. If you want to kayak with professional equipment in Turkey with experienced guides and good food, genuinely you need look no further.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Absolutely. Our guide made more effort to minimize impacts on the environment than I even knew possible. She was educated and passionate about the environment and we left no evidence of our visit at any time.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic holiday, 10/10.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The most memorable was part was seeing a Nile turtle basking on a log on our 3 day canoe trip - Lake to Sea. Camping out under the stars and our guides cooking. We all enjoyed our stop at the mud baths and the hot springs. The most exciting part was the white water rafting on the Dalaman River, my 12 and 14 year old boys loved it. Dramatic scenery and a very professional team running it. Would do this again!
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Make sure you have some really good insect repellent! Take a waterproof camera and your own mask and snorkel.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
We stayed in a Turkish run hostel and all food for the 3 days kayaking was bought locally. Extras were bought at local snackbars. Our guide collected rubbish at every stop we made, by the lake, inland stream or where we camped. The main impacts on the environment there come from the many noisy day boats plying up the river to and from Dalyan and their fuel leaks.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We had a fantastic time, loved the kayaking, camping and the scenery. Having a Turkish guide gave us a much better insight to the country, local food and history. Both our 12 and 14 year old boys had a great time and would love to go back. The Turkish people were all without fail very hospitable and friendly.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Kayaking along the beautiful Turkish coastline away from other tourists - and getting some great exercise at the same time. There were some long paddles and crossings and at times relatively windy conditions so a great opportunity to improve my paddling and stamina. We stopped to explore inaccessible caves and then camped on deserted beaches and ate fabulous Turkish food cooked by our guide. Each day they had woven something special into the day on top of the kayaking - one day it was stopping for pancakes at a little local cafe and sitting out under oleander trees by the water; another it was going to the mud baths and being covered in mud which I am assured was good for my skin (!); yet another it was clambering over some wonderful ruins.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take the minimum amount of gear - the space you are allowed for personal kit is tiny - but do see if you can squeeze in something waterproof in case of, as we had in May, unseasonal rain. Make sure you are paddle-fit before you go as you can do up to 6 hours paddling a day and the afternoons can be quite windy so you need to be confident in your ability. We did one long crossing and it was reasonably choppy (tho' the guide said conditions were better than usual!).
This company takes a lot of trouble with safety and uses decent equipment. It seems that this is not always the case in Turkey so if you are looking at other companies too take a really good look at their kit before you make a decision. We passed another large group out with another kayaking company who were paddling without spray decks and PFDs and seemed to have take no trouble with safety; the wind was getting up and it was raining; if conditions had got worse or there had been a capsize there was nothing to stop the water going into the kayak. This operator on the other hand, knows what they are doing and will supply you with decent kit and a guide who is very aware of all safety issues.
And finally, do take a couple of days at the end of your trip to relax - you will need it. We ended in Gocek and it was a great place for a few days of R&R.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, definitely. The company is locally based and run. You carry all your food, tho you may stop on occasion for a drink or pancake at a local cafe, you sleep in tents and there is minimal impact on the environment.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
A really good holiday with plenty of kayaking in a beautiful and unspoilt part of Turkey.
