Kangaroo Island tours, 3 days 2 nights, independent reviews

Kangaroo Island was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed getting down close to a very windy and wild Southern Ocean, and walking on the beach at Sea Bay up close with the sea lions was a real highlight. But then again so was watching Koalas in the trees, and a walk out to the Remarkable rocks (these really are pretty remarkable when you get up close - the hardest granite you could possibly imagine smoothed like butter into strange shape over millions of years by the wind).

We bought some of the very special honey (from pure Ligurian Bees imported from Italy) and some lavender products. Perhaps the highlight of our trip was in fact our guide - Pete. He is a local sheep farmer who was born on the Island and works part time as a tour guide. He is a really great guy, and added enormously to our enjoyment tour - make sure you make a special request for Pete to be your guide!

Paul and Mandy at Seascape, where we stayed the night with big views over Emu Bay, are warm and welcoming hosts and we enjoyed our night there very much.

Hi Justin,
Thank you so much for your great comments! It really sounds as if you have had a very special time on our beautiful island. We are so lucky to have such a great group of guys working for us. Most of us have actually known each other for many years, gone to school together and were friends well before working togther. (Pete is actually my husband!!). This has created such a wonderfull working envirnment for all of us. Many of our drivers only work part time so they really feel that coming to work is a day off! Excited about what interesting people from around the globe they are about to meet. Paul and Mandy compliment this so well with their personalised approach at Seascape. Having 3 days to explore the island was a very good decision on your part. Being far bigger than I am sure you imagined this gave you optimum time to cover what makes our small comunity tick, covering the highlights (and yes there is no other words for 'Remarkable Rocks'!) and the abundant wildlife, but also the small cottage industries as well. Getting out and meeting the locals is still welcomed here. We hope that you can return someday.
