Young Island sunset Imagine being on an island where the sounds of nature are prevalent, where fruit, fish, flowers, wildlife and trees abound. You will find all of this on Young Island. A stone's throw from St. Vincent, Young Island is a real gem.

A small ferry boat operates between the two islands but they are so close, that as you board you will already be able to see where you will be getting off! Nevertheless the sail over is beautiful - short and sweet.

A Carib Chief once resided on the island and now at Young Island resort you can reside here for a week of two and be treated like royalty. Young Island is a resort where showers are open air, dining is close to the water and sumptuous meals are prepared from fresh fruits and vegetables and served in an atmosphere of relaxation.

Once you step onto the island you can take your shoes off and leave your cares behind. Take a nap or read a book in a hammock, listen to the water lapping the shore as you dine under thatched huts. Sample one or all of six breads - all baked at the resort. Swim a few strokes off shore to the Coconut Bar. Take a leisurely stroll with a cocktail in hand down to Sunset Point.

Do nothing but relax and enjoy nature - the experience is one you will remember forever and it is one that will keep you returning and returning.
