Walking in smaller groups is one of the activities within tourism with the least negative impact on the local environment. Our walk is a good example of this as it is a small scale offer. In order to increase the positive impact on the environment, we use public transport instead of chartered options when doing our additional fjord cruise. To ensure the responsibility of the tour, we have a big focus on ”Leaving no trace” when being in nature. All our guides have an understanding in not only bringing our own garbage away, but also things that other people or wind and water have brought into nature.
All our staff and co-operative partners have a deep understanding in not disturbing the fragile balance in the nature of the world heritage site. This understanding we also try to carry forward to our guests. All our guides are local people with profound pride, excellent knowledge and a deep understanding of the flora, fauna and culture of the area.
