Dominica guest house, Hibiscus Valley Inn
Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

We have very little waste since we are composting all the waste food the chicken boones and fish bones the dog eats, and the rest of the food waist we do compost, where we get our own manual for the garden with no chemicals in it. We show the guests how people washed in the river without washing powder, taking leaves and herbs to wash as before. We have endless of fresh river water, but in dry season one have to take care. We have solar heater for the warmwater and a not in each room to be care of the linnen.
Energy, timers on garden lights, make staff aware of the energy saving.
Transport, we have diesel minibus or jeep transport within Hibiscus Valley Inn for our tours.
Waste is picked up if seen around.
We choose only local suppliers for food, as much as we can.
The Impacts of this Trip
I sponser the Concord school with adding money for local food for the children, the hospital with what they like to add the contribution. The turtel project , for our guests to visit and have a god lesson about them and how to protect them.
We are living the village life as a Dominican. Protect the rivers. We also go to the locla church and listen to gospel with our guests, then all know they are from Hibiscus Valley. We interact with the loclas. We support to plant and make small farms, Caco is the good to get into now and planning to make cooperative with the farmes. For a production in Dominica. Make the whole chain from the beans to the choclate bar, maker choclate rom. This will give quite a few Dominicans work. The factory will be supplyed with solar energy and all in an enviromental protection. We will have guided tours from the guesthouse to the farm.
