Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

When weather permits, the pretty and enclosed garden is often made available for our guests to enjoy - sharing the peace and tranquility with the many unusual birds, resident bats and visiting squirrel. Being in a forest, many of our surrounding trees, both in the garden and out, are protected.
Being environmentally conscientious we aim to recycle absolutely everything possible! Food waste is either composted or fed to the animals.
We always welcome walkers and cyclists and so ensure we provide our guests with secure overnight lock-up facilities, giving our guests much needed peace of mind.
The Impacts of this Trip
Liss Forest is a small and friendly little village with a very close knit community, surrounding a small post office and local store as well as public house. Plans are currently going through for a community-volunteer led post-office store as we bid happy retirement to the current owner. A stones throw from Liss Forest is Liss village which has a very busy village hall, hosting a variety of events on a weekly basis, from cinema nights to jumble sales, dance classes or toddler groups. There are also a good number of great eateries and public houses.
There is a strong emphasis placed on supporting other local businesses and we always like to recommend our guests to visit The Temple Inn, just a two minute gentle stroll from the house, who provide great home-cooked grub as well as live entertainment. There are many other fantastic country pubs in the locality, and a fabulous award winning Indian eatery, The Madhuban.
