Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

Our holiday site is situated in an exceptionally rich and varied region :

The Castle of Biron has been classified as a Historical Monument since 1928 ; the vast woods around Biron teem with stags whose belling calls in autumn are impressive to listen to.

We actively participate in the valorisation of this historical inheritance by reducing as much as possible the impact made by our industry, on the local environment. We also actively work for the well-being of our guests by using methods and products which respect our planet.

We therefore have committed ourselves to the following principles:
All our electricity comes from a 100% renewable energy source
We separate all waste and encourage our guests to participate in this
All our taps and showers are economic in the use of water.

People

Everybody receives detailed information on arrival about local activities, local shops, restaurants etc. in order to make sure that everybody benefits. We encourage our guests to visit local farmer's markets and other local industries. We know our region inside out and are only too happy to give personalised advice for outings, adapted to the guests wishes or family members.

We also invite our guests to participate in the many activities organised by our local associations. This helps greatly in keeping our local environment alive and provides our guests with a better understanding of our world whilst enjoying events, often based on local history.

We believe firmly that by applying good working conditions and friendly contact with the people around you, you create a better and more tolerant world.

We travel a lot ourselves and have experienced that supporting local artisans is essential in making a community sustainable.

By going one step further and advising our guests to explore our local industries, communities and meet the local people, we create good relationships... which is so much more pleasant for everybody.
