Peru small group tour

Description of Peru small group tour
This two week round-trip from Lima takes in all of Peru's most popular highlights as well as numerous organic encounters and lesser-known locations to complete a perfect Peruvian picture.
Joining a small group is ideal for solo travellers and anyone else who loves to share experiences and seek out new adventures in the company of new-found friends and knowledgeable local guides.
Launching off from Lima allows easy access to the inordinate array of marine animals and birdlife that abounds on and around the Ballestas Islands in Paracas National Reserve. Wildlife and birdwatching by boat is the only way to travel in what is, essentially, one of the world's most important protected areas for marine life.
Heading inland from the Peruvian coast places you in the country's wine region, by way of the Ica Desert, as you discover the delights of the South American grape harvest in Tacama winery before making the short transfer to the desert oasis of Huacachina.
Sand dune safaris by purpose-built buggy and camping under the stars allow you to really become enveloped in the adventure of travelling in South America with the fascination of the Nazca Lines adding to what will already have become an eclectic list of unforgettable experiences.
The Andean town of Arequipa awaits as you ascend into the mountains for four days of optional activities in and around the deepest canyon on the planet, the Colca Canyon. After you've made the most of the Andes by raft, bike, horse and on foot you'll travel north to Cuzco for the start of another four day adventure, this time on the fabled Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. After trekking to the Inca ruins you'll return to Cuzco by train whereupon you're free to rest and relax for the final couple of days of this exciting two week tour of Peru.
Transfer by air from Cuzco to Lima and prepare for your flight home with a bag full of alpaca wool hats and a head full of magical memories.

How our company is making a difference:We believe that in order to achieve any objective, the company has to have accurate policies and procedures for the employees and the guests to follow in order to reach our goal.
In Peru, we encourage our travelers to not contribute to the already excessive rubbish that floods the cities. We brief them on the best means of disposing of empty water bottles and food wrappers.
We have decided that the environment is a major component of any local community and any negative effect on the environment would directly have an impact on the lives of the inhabitants of the local community. Therefore, we have drawn up a strict environmental protection policy that all our employees and travelers have to abide by. For example, we recycle empty ink cartridges. A company collects them and disposes of them in the correct manner.
Deforestation, pollution and endangered species are the most important environmental issues that Peru faces. Our travellers are encouraged not to smoke in forests, as well as stay in the walking trails at all times. We warn them of the dangers of forest fires if they were to expose of cigarette buds in a careless manner. While in the forests, they should never pick any flowers or attempt to kill bugs. These may be on the list of endangered species.
For us, Responsible Travel is the only way to travel.
People
We believe that the Responsible Travel concept has to be a two-way strategy with both our travelers and the local community gaining benefits. We benefit the local communities we visit using a wide scope of activities that have a positive impact directly by donating money to charity organizations, financially supporting some local communities and by recruiting employees who belong to the local community. We encourage our guests to buy local products and make use of services that people in local communities offer. We promise to support the local community of every destination we take our travelers to. We will do this by employing local guides, using local handicraft shops and recommend shops to our travelers so that their holiday spending contributes to the people of that country. Furthermore, we provide each traveler with a tipping guide. By doing this we set a concept of tipping and gratuity for every person who will offer a form of service to the traveler.
We have also considered the social aspect of the local community and how to respect the customs and traditions of the inhabitants helping us operate our tours. We always provide our guests with all the information needed to understand the community they are visiting and we create valuable opportunities for the travelers and the locals to mingle and exchange ideas and thoughts.
We educate all our staff on the real life situations in Peru. Sales consultants will use this information to inform potential travelers of the correct information and dangers that they may face. By creating long lasting relationships with our local ground handlers, we are able to establish what needs the community has and through their information we can inform our travelers what they can contribute to the local community from their home countries.
Poverty is one of the main problems in Peru. Children and women are affected as well as men. We are always searching for means by which we can find donation opportunities by which our travellers can donate knowing that the money will reach the right people.
In Peru, travelers are encouraged not to tempt children or any locals with food and sweets. The culture has to be respected at all times.
