Description of Tailor made holiday in Greece
This tailormade holiday in Greece explores key archaeological sites that will reveal the secrets of ancient civilizations, a must for the amateur historian that has always wanted to visit these iconic landmarks.
Over nine days you’ll tour Mycenae, and the ancient amphitheatre of Epidaurus, where 14,000 spectators would once have sat, all able to hear perfectly thanks to the superb acoustics. See the beautiful seaport of Nafplio as it stretches up the hillside, and Delphi, thought by the ancient Greeks to be the centre of the world and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have the option of wandering around with a guide to bring them to life. A day is also taken for a jaunt over to the Peloponnese, and ancient Olympia, where the first iteration of the Olympic Games was held for over 400 years from the 8th century BC.
After returning to Athens for a day, during which you’ll see the superb Acropolis and visit the New Acropolis Museum nearby to view its unearthed treasures, you’ll transfer by ferry to the volcanic island of Santorini. Here, Akrotiri awaits you, the Minoan Bronze Age settlement that was possibly a basis for Plato’s ‘Atlantis’. You’ll have time to wander the attractive and lively capital, Fira, see the famous Red Beach, or take a volcanoes and hot springs boat tour – let’s be honest, not many sightseeing trips sound as exciting as that!
From Santorini a quick zip across to Mykonos, where you can stretch out languidly beneath the sun for a day, take a dip in the sea, or roam ‘Little Venice’, before a return ferry to Athens.
One for the history books.

Reviewed on 16 May 2018 by Debbie WilliamsThe most memorable moment was exploring Poros on foot: great views in the almost uninhabited western part, and climbing up to the top of Poros town and seeing where the locals lived. Also, Hotel Saronis on Agistri was wonderful, especially the breakfasts. The restaurant in front of it was great too. Both very friendly. Read full review

PlanetExcept our tour operator company we own a small hotel in Tripoli, our base city. During the stay of the clients in our hotel, we make sure to recycle glass, paper, metal and plastic. In most of our tours and also in our hotel clients receive the Travellers Code of Conduct which includes all the necessary information about applying responsibility during your holidays concerning socio-cultural and environmental factors.
PeopleBy choosing our holidays you choose responsible travelling. The founder and the general director Mr Panagiotopoulos (born and raised in Tripoli) is deeply concerned about the responsible type of travelling and tries the most not to affect our area in a negative way concerning the ecological and socio-cultural factors.
Our travel company consists of local employees (drivers, guides etc) in order to benefit you from the cultural point of you as well as for the economic benefit of our area. In our trips you will have the opportunity to visit many different places and meet the locals so you will immerse in the Greek way of living. Last but not least, your presence in our area will be a strong negotiation card with the local authorities in order to develop our area by financing infrastructure for responsible tourism. This is something that is missing from Greece as the country was relying on mass tourism up to now.
