Description of Family holiday for teenagers to Turkey

This week long family holiday for teenagers is the chance to explore some of Turkey’s ancient sites and enjoy its beaches and beautiful landscapes. Older kids will love the mix of activities and relaxation woven through this holiday. Explore ruins left by ancient civilisations in Fethiye, Xanthos and Letoon, finding out about the history of the Lycian people. Hike through the steep sided Saklikent Gorge then freshen up in water pools made from melted snow. Spend a day at Oludeniz water park, then board a traditional gullet and cruise the coast for two days, relaxing on deck, stopping at quiet coves and swimming in the warm, crystal clear water. Hungry teens will adore the food here, tucking into hearty breakfasts and tasty treats like borek, baklava and pide. No visit to Turkey is complete without a trip to a traditional spa, either, and the whole family can enjoy an invigorating scrub, massage and visit to the hamam (Turkish sauna).

Hello. If you'd like to chat about this holiday or need help finding one we're very happy to help. Rosy & team.

Holiday type
This trip is for families only (including any aunts, uncles or cousins who’d like to come along, of course). As long as you’re travelling with a child under the age of 18, you’re a family in our eyes. Plus, unlike other travel companies, children aged 17 years and younger receive a 10% discount off the price of their trip. Travelling our way is a bit like travelling with a group of friends. Made up of 3-5 like-minded families, the kids tend to hit it off on these trips straight away, allowing you to enjoy some well earned R&R. We often find the whole family ends up making friendships with people from all over the world, staying in touch long after the adventure ends.

Our family group sizes are small enough to avoid the crowds and reach some out-of-the-way places, but big enough for a good social mix. Our average group size of 10 allows us to hop aboard local boats, buses or trains, eat at friendly, family-run restaurants and kick back in traditional accommodation and homestays.

We know the biggest challenge on a family trip is keeping the kids entertained. So we’ve planned in advance. Nearly all of our hotels feature pools, and each day has a great mix of action-packed adventure and flexible free time. Your local leader can also suggest activities based on your kid’s hobbies or school curriculum.

Responsible tourism

Responsible tourism: Family holiday for teenagers to Turkey

Responsible mission: As adventure travellers we relish and celebrate the diversity of the world. We also recognise our obligation to protect the environments that we explore. Our aim is to tread lightly, whilst contributing to maintain the world’s culture and nature, and most importantly to engage the help of all our customers to utilise the potential of tourism as a tool to aid sustainable development. We believe that responsible travellers are welcome in the places that they visit.

Lots of people benefit from our stay - our Turkish local agents, the hotel we use, restaurants we eat in along with our Turkish group leader, drivers, gulet crew etc. This spreads the money we spend amongst many different people and provides vital employment. Our interest in the sea life (scuba diving) reinforces amongst local people the need to protect and preserve these environments.

Responsible code: Being Responsible is at the heart of everything our company does - full details of our code can be found on our website. The local supplier for this trip will promote our responsible travel code throughout your adventure. You will also receive specific information on this trip’s responsibility in your trip notes.

Helping to minimise negative impact:
All of our customers are invited to offset their international flight emissions. Contributions go to the Blue Ventures Carbon Offset program, a non-profit organisation which provides solar stoves for subsistence communities in Madagascar, benefiting the people and protecting the environment. We also contribute £2 per person towards offsetting of your in-country travel. We fully offset all emissions from our staff travel and run an energy efficient office.

Giving something back: We have a foundation that collects the funds that you donate to us to support our projects. All our customers are invited to make a £1 per person contribution to the foundation at the time of booking. We will match every contribution that you make with our own £1. You as a customer choose where these funds are used from a shortlist of nominated projects – so it really is YOUR foundation.

Partnerships: As a company we support The Travel Foundation, a UK charity that has been established to promote responsible travel practises throughout the whole of the travel industry. We also work with a number of charity partners who work in the destinations that we visit; including Friends of Conservation and Born Free Foundation.
