As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetWe ask all tour participants to bring their own reusable water bottles in order to reduce our in-country waste – plastic waste is an enormous problem all around the world. We have a zero litter policy.
We use water and electricity sparingly while traveling. Some of the hotels we patronize use solar power or make an effort to conserve water by minimizing housekeeping services and recycling grey water.
We protect natural resources, and we never buy souvenirs or goods made from wildlife unless they are clearly sustainably produced. We choose to work with people who are as passionate as we are about responsible travel thus broadening the network of conscientious citizens around the world.
In addition, our office recycles anything that can be recycled in our city. We minimize printed material making the most of communication through the Internet. All light fixtures use CFL bulbs. We live within walking distance of our office.
PeopleWe don't just think about what we can bring back from our travels, but also what we can contribute. We want to become part of the fabric of everyday life wherever we may find ourselves.
We patronize locally-owned restaurants. We hire local guides to offer a native perspective, sharing knowledge of their hometown and the environment that surrounds it.
By introducing our guests to local artisans and business owners, we open a door to understanding daily life. Purchases, as well as word of mouth, go a long way towards improving the quality of life for these passionate, hard-working people. On this tour we visit rose water and argan oil producers as well as staying in a traditional nomadic tent and spending a evening with a traditional story teller.
Traveling with us means traveling responsibly and respectfully. In addition to being mindful of a country's rhythm and our travelers' desires, we promote community-based, locally-run organizations working towards a better future for all its people. This commitment allows us to develop long-term relationships and engage our travelers on a much more personal level.
