Planet
Our local partner have achieved the Travelife accreditation for 3 of their destinations and are in process to obtaining it for their trips and offices in Cambodia. They share our values when it comes to maintaining the environment, from recycling in the office to ensuring the local flora and fauna is maintained during the trips they offer through training for their guides and hiring local people to run tours who know the area and the unique habitats and wildlife, they in turn can pass this knowledge on to our customers ensuring the area is treated with the most respect. In Cambodia we offer our customers the chance to donate to the Cambodia-Dutch Foundation which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the well being of the Cambodian people through various aid projects. In rural areas they run water management projects to educate the local people and conserve this precious natural resource.
People
Wherever we can we try to source trips in Cambodia which benefit the local community. In this itinerary you will stay in a traditional bungalow in a small rural village between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Here you will get a real taste of Cambodian hospitality from your hosts, a local family.Throughout this itinerary we try to use locally-run, small hotels wherever we can. In Kampot you will stay in a locally run hotel in the main town, transformed from an old rice barn. During your time here you will explore the area with a local guide, learning all about the history, culture and flora and fauna of the area.
When booking this trip we offer our customers the opportunity to donate to the Cambodia-Dutch Foundation, a non-profit organisation helping the Cambodian people through aid projects such as caring for orphans and providing support for young families and teaching children who wouldn't normally be able to afford to go to school.
