Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
One of the top priorities of travelling with Tibet Vista is our emphasis on ecotourism. As the tour begins, the tour guide will install the awareness of the protection of fragile ecosystem of Tibet to the tourists. “Go home with only good memory and photos, and Never do anything to harm the natural environment.” is our slogan. We suggest tourists carrying thermal bottles instead of plastic mineral water bottles with them along the tour. While visiting some remote areas with water shortage, we will kindly remind tourists to conserve the drinking water resources and not to take shower.By encouraging the outdoor activities like trekking and cycling, tourists can gain better understanding of plateau scenery and minimize the carbon emission from the tour vehicles. Before touring the holy religious site, the guide will remind tourists not to take pictures of sacred Buddhas in the monasteries and never do graffiti on cultural relics.
People
Mingling with locals and visiting their communities are essential to discovering the exotic culture and customs. As tourists travel in the Barkhor street in Lhasa, tourists can bargain with the local vendors and buy some exquisite handicrafts or taste local delicacies like wind-dried yak meat, Tibetan sweet tea, etc. In this way, tourists can benefit the economy of local communities. For those who like to experience the real life of Tibetan farmers. We can offer the tourists to visit the locals’ family and join them to do some farm work to learn how the plateau farm produce is grown at such high altitude. Meanwhile, we suggest tourists not randomly giving out money or showing off their wealth, for it might widen the cultural gap or cause discomfort to a different community. Instead, donation is gathered and offered to the official charity organization.
On this Tibet tour, you can not only appreciate the scenery in a flexible way, but reduce the impact of pollution, you also have a good chance to feel the real Tibet life when stopping by the villages.
