Our one-on-one well-trained climbing guides are very aware about the fragile state of the environment and are aware of proper garbage disposal in Mount Siguniangshan area. In the evening meeting before the climbing tour, our local climbing guide captain will explain about the fragility of the environment and garbage disposal to trekkers when he trains them with some climbing skills and tips. During the process of trekking, the local experienced climbing guide will advise trekkers to place their rubbish in proper places so that they can take the non-recyclable rubbish away with them when they climb down. They work together to minimize the impacts on nature, for example: use of kerosene fuel for cooking rather than fire-wood. These kinds of activities always support nature.

Our company often organizes environment protection activities in Tibetan areas and donates some reasonable funds to the local environment protection organization who help to maintain the trekking trail in the local community. These kinds of programs have helped the local fragile eco-system to maintain greenery in the surrounding area.

We encourage our clients to purchase local products, such as fresh fruits, handcraft, meat, drinks and fresh vegetables to offer energy for their climbing trip. We use local man-power during this climbing trip, such as the cook and climbing guide, and use the local horse power to pack trekkers’ equipment. We hire the local transport. Both the driver and car are from Xiaojin county. These provides great opportunities for the local Tibetan people to enhance their standard of living and develop the community.
