Description of Argentina highlights holiday, Buenos Aires, Andes and Iguazu Falls

This tailor made Argentina highlights holiday, includes Buenos Aires, the Andes and Iguazú Falls during a carefully planned 13 day itinerary, with time in breathtaking Patagonia, too. Start in Buenos Aires, the ‘Paris of South America’ and take our exclusive 'Four Balconies of Buenos Aires' tour, visiting the four highest parts of the city with the best panoramic views in the barrios of La Boca, San Telmo, Plaza de Mayo and the Recoleta. You may also consider a tango dinner show in the evening.

Next, fly to Mendoza, the wine-producing capital in the central Andes. You will spend three nights at a wine lodge located in one of Mendoza's outlying valleys. Excursions include a full day visiting three of the best vineyards in the area with tastings at each one. You will be able to choose the wineries you wish to visit. The next day you will venture into the High Andes on a private trip, with breathtaking views and time for a little hiking, too.

From Mendoza you will fly south along the Andes to Bariloche in the Lakes District of northern Patagonia. You will spend a day on the classic 'Grand Circuit' excursion by private car, with optional excursions include hiking, mountain biking, lake kayaking, trips to the surrounding national parks, and the ‘Route of the Seven Lakes’ drive to San Martin de los Andes.

From Bariloche you will continue by air to El Calafate in southern Patagonia, the gateway to the dramatic and beautiful Los Glaciares National Park. Take a cruise in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier before taking a two hour trek on the glacier itself, using crampons. Finish the trip at the natural wonder that is the Iguazú Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. The thrilling catwalks and trails that surround Iguazú allow for incredible views of the waterfalls, including the famous Devil’s Throat.

We believe tourism should be educational and sustainable, as well as entertaining. We designed this trip to contribute minimal impact to the local environment with positive benefits to the local communities.

All guides follow strict “green ethics”. Reusable water bottles are provided in an effort to encourage less waste and discourage the need for plastic throw-away bottles. All activities and excursions on this itinerary are ecologically responsible and low-impact. Our ‘Four Balconies of Buenos Aires’ tour is a walking tour. We offer and encourage all winery tours from the Mendoza area as cycling or horseback riding tours. Most of the optional excursions we offer from Bariloche are non-motorized and carbon-neutral and include hiking, lake kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, biking.

On our Perito Moreno minitrekking excursion, our clients leave only crampon marks and take only photographs. The tour of Iguazu Falls is a walking tour. Guides always practice ‘Leave No Trace’ ethics and give clear and committed instructions for interacting with nature and wildlife with efforts to preserve and leave undisturbed the beauty for generations to enjoy.

The Buenos Aires city tour is operated in cooperation with local restaurants, shops, galleries.
