Royal Jordan tour
Description of Royal Jordan tour
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetThrough tourism, the local communities and organisations we work with are able to maintain their traditional way of life whilst preserving their land and local ecosystems. We work with local communities, networks and organisations committed to environmental conservation.
For our tours we give priority to public transport (where available) and optimise the itineraries to reduce the carbon footprint. Itineraries are nevertheless designed to keep flights to a minimum. Our activities are designed by local communities and organisations that have a clear commitment to environmental conservation and to the responsible use of natural resources. They provide suggestions and guidelines for travellers to minimise the negative impact on the environment and use resources, in particular water, responsibly.
We carry out dedicated responsible travel training sessions with all employees upon joining the company. Also, responsible practice is exercised in our office with various measures put in place aimed at reducing, re-using and recycling resources where possible. In addition to that, we minimise our electricity consumption by switching off lights, computers, fans etc in rooms that are not in use and at night. We also monitor thermostats and keep doors and windows closed when heating is on.
PeopleWe work with smaller margins to ensure that most of the money goes towards a positive social and environmental impact on the ground. The local communities and organisations we work with are redistributing income from tourism to create decent jobs and implement sustainable, long-lasting solutions to the problems they face. Tourism is a complementary source of income that they use to improve their standard of living and to preserve their culture and environment. For an example we collaborate with non-profit, non-governmental foundations such as the Jordan River Foundation which aim to provide employment opportunities that in turn enhance Jordanian livelihoods in different socio-economic projects.
We provide authentic, experience-rich holidays to responsible and discerning travellers. Through our community-based ecotourism initiatives, our travellers come into direct contact with local people, in a low-volume way, based on mutual respect. They eat traditional, natural food and take part in cultural and ecotourism activities. All the activities are eco-friendly as much as possible and are organised by the local communities, all guides are local and most of the products and services are organic and locally sourced.
