Explore the highlight of Peru on this 12-day completely tailor-made holiday. 3* accommodation in locally-owned hotels throughout; private airport transfers with your own personal guide; a fantastic range of tours which can be customised; internal flights within Peru; and 24-hour assistance throughout your holiday.
Begin in the metropolitan city of Lima, before flying into the Andes to the ancient capital of the Incas, Cusco. Enjoy a walking tour with your private guide, before heading into the stunning Sacred Valley to witness some of the best scenery in all of Peru. Spend the night at a local boutique hotel with its own organic farm, before taking the early train to Machu Picchu. Have a private tour of the Lost City of the Incas, with free time to explore at your own pace.
Then spend the night in the little pueblo at the foot of the mountains, before continuing on to the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. Travel by boat across the lake to see the floating Uros Islands and meet the locals. Then return to Lima for your international flight home.
This is a completely tailor-made holiday which can be customised or amended in any way to suit your requirements and budget. No fixed departure dates or minimum numbers, and we can include private services throughout if desired. Can begin and end on any date to suit you.

PlanetIn order to ensure we protect the environment and minimise our ecological footprint we always recommend overland travel using local transportation as opposed to short domestic flights where possible, however due to the vast distances covered during this trip flying is unavoidable. To put it into perspective the bus journey from Lima to Cusco takes nearly 2 days, which is why we then recommend spending at least a week exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu.
In our UK office we like to stay as green as possible by recycling and using recycled ink cartridges. We have also minimised our waste by limiting the number of holiday brochures we print. Instead, we refer potential customers to our online resources and send most of our holiday information via email.
We work with environmentally friendly hotels where possible, for example, El Albergue in Ollantaytambo has its own farm, which produces 90% of the produce for its restaurant, nearly completely eliminating the need to import food which is a big problem for remote towns in Peru.
PeopleIn order to ensure we have a positive impact on local economies and provide socially responsible holidays we only use local suppliers, which helps keep the money generated through tourism within local communities through employment of local guides, drivers and reps.
We always recommend locally-owned restaurants and hotels where possible, aiming to support local communities and give customers the opportunity to ‘travel like a local’. We also provide customers with a list of recommended restaurants tailor-made to their destination and dietary requirements but with a focus on family-run restaurants.
We recommend historical hotels where possible, for example, the Rumi Punku in Cusco is situated within an original Inca building, which is restored and cared for using income generated from tourism.
As a member of Sustainable Travel International, a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting awareness, we have an appreciation and respect for local people and the environment through education and outreach programmes. We encourage our guides to promote responsible purchasing of handmade items and genuine local crafts, rather than buying imported good, especially in places like Cusco and Machu Picchu where competition between market sellers is high.
This trip can be tailor-made to include a range of cultural activities aimed at supporting local economies and preserving local cultures, including: homestays with local families on Lake Titicaca, and visits to a local community project in the Sacred Valley.
For all of our guests we provide pre-departure information on social and cultural issues in each location, including language guides, and advice on how to travel responsibly and respectfully.
