Responsible tourism

Responsible tourism: Ladakh trekking holiday, India

We use vehicles throughout the tour that are certified for pollution check and align to all government regulations for reducing emissions and minimising pollution like in our toyota innova vehicles. Whenever possible for short trips etc for sightseeings we make use of traditional means of transport such as bullock carts, rickshaws or a cycle rides, which offer our travellers a much more immersive experience as well as reducing our environmental impact. Once we have reached the destinations it shall be our endeavour to walk and trek in the beautiful scenic picturesque Leh Ladakh.

We preserve water here since drinking water is very limited.

Since we are in the himalayas it is our endeavour to use minimum of electronic items so that the pure and scenic environment does not get polluted.
To use less water we have timers for water for normal use and generally we store water in cans and make minimal use of it.

We believe in women's empowerment, so helping them in this form is special to us. We aim to provide surroundings that give opportunities for women to both work in and enjoy working in.

The guides and the cooks we employ are from the local community, we employ locally wherever possible and provide livelihood to the community. We visit the local community houses, meet and greet the trekkers with them and get a feel of the pure nature and a simple life style.

We have chosen this destination because we wish to do our bit and employ as many local people we can at each place. This presently is not being done, i.e promoting tourism here, that's the change we are bringing out since the people of this area are very friendly and could do with more jobs and income.

We promise to provide jobs for the local community and also connect these locals with the benefits of tourism. In some places we take the trekkers for a cup of ladakhi tea to the house of a native there they enjoy the tea and traditional folklore of the region. In case the traveller wishes to give he can make some donation.
