Responsible tourism: Cycle Hanoi to Saigon tour

We are environmentally conscious and aware of its footprint. Our tour Cycle Hanoi to Saigon is eco-friendly with minimum carbon impact to the environment. We will be crossing amazing nature by bikes rather than by minibus or car that inevitably produce exhaust fumes. If we sightseeing city we are doing it by foot as we are highly aware of high risk of pollution from emissions.
We are fortunate in recruiting excellent biking guides and others who have the same desire and commitment to preserve and protect.

Our correspondence and promotion are carried out via the Internet and email, minimizing the amount of paper we use. All hotels where we will stay on this tour have an environmental responsibility program and are owned by locals. For example, Butique hotel and spa in Hanoi supports local community by employing only locals. Also, one of the Hotels main policies is preserving local heritage and long history culture, so they even kept the 200 years-old brick well in their garden to show and tell their customers how is important to keep and be responsible for your culture. Before traveling to Vietnam, we give our customers a short briefing about the importance of being responsible. We advise our travelers to take care of nature, control water usage whenever they can, and pick up all the litter that they see.

Any disturbance of natural ecosystem is minimised.

Our tours are designed to show and preserve local culture and traditions. All of the guides, drivers and staff are local people.
On Our cycling tour, we will be passing through villages and have opportunity to see their culture and a way of life. We encourage our customers to buy a few local products to help these local people not only maintain employment but to preserve their traditional way of life and work, using methods handed down from generation to generation.
We believe that responsible travel is about the attitude you take with you and the choices you make when travelling. Respect to the local people, their cultures, the economy and the environment should be the first rule that travellers follow. Most of our meals in Vietnam are prepared by locals chefs. In the aim to support the local economy we only eat in local restaurants and buy in local markets.

Our goal is not only to help the local community but also to educate our customers to act in a socially responsible way. We will attempt to give an insight and understanding of the host culture and community to our clients so that they can gain more from their visit. On this biking tour tourist will have opportunity to become detached from the stresses of Western living and to experience an authentic lifestyle with a genuine sense of community in looking after not only families but each other too. Sustainable development, protection and conservation are most important goals of our company. We are doing our best to transfer our knowledge to others so we could together act responsibly in preserving the planet.

1 Reviews of Cycle Hanoi to Saigon tour

5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed on 25 Apr 2018 by

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Cycling through villages and countryside in central Vietnam.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take ear plugs for the overnight train, the sound of the rails may keep you awake; and a proper waterproof as when it rains it pours.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We used local guides, drivers and restaurants and shopped in fair trade shops. Using the bikes took us into smaller roads on which there may have been a negative impact if we were in motorised vehicles. Visiting protected sites may help restrict over development. However, we still flew and stayed for short
periods in hotels. Using the train avoided long distance by car or bus.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent: educational, hassle-free, relaxing and stimulating.
