Description of Chile tailor made tours, volcanos & National Parks
Discover the vast diversity and jaw-dropping natural beauty of Chile on this 16-day tailor made tour from vineyards to volcanos, via a host of spectacular landscapes.
Customisable to suit your specific interests, this tour of Chile fits together a selection of mini adventures to create a trip that has the wow-factor in spades. Travelling from cosmopolitan Santiago you’ll explore the green, rolling vineyards of the Maipo Valley, backed by snow-capped Andean peaks, and discover why the wine here is world-class.
You’ll then fly south to start your self-drive adventure through the exquisite scenery of the Chilean Lake District. Along the way you’ll take a hike around Villarica volcano near Pucon and enjoy a spectacular journey complete with warm Chilean hospitality as you travel to Puyehue and Puerto Varas.
A flight south will then take you to Punta Arenas, where you’ll have the chance to say hello to a huge colony of Magellanic penguins before arriving in the jaw-dropping Torres del Paine National Park. Here your options include challenging hikes to see the spectacular granite peaks, or more gentle day walks along the edges of the park’s huge glaciers – the choice, as with the rest of this trip, is yours.
Finally, you’ll fly north for some relaxation in the coastal town of Valparaiso, famous for its colourful cliff-top houses and vibrant, bohemian atmosphere.

With a few minor hicups, I feel this holiday matched expectations. We were very pleased overall.Responsible Travel

Here in our central Brighton office we work together to recycle the majority of our waste; separating paper, plastic, glass, tins, cardboard and any food waste left over from the healthy lunch provided to our staff everyday. All our waste is recycled by the same company we buy our stationery from, creating a closed-loop. Our local suppler in Chile share our values when it comes to recycling, also separating paper in their offices.During this trip you will visit Valparaiso where you will visit the culture capital of Chile you will swap the self drive element and use local buses to get between the cities to reduce your carbon emissions.
For the longer journeys in this large country we will again use the local buses to reduce the emissions as well as offering walking tours enjoying the cities and scenery of the volcanoes.
We encourage our customers to be responsible travellers in Chile by including a document with their confirmation on topics to think about when they're away. This covers wildlife and fauna, how to prevent destruction through sensible buying of local artifacts made of rare wood or posing for photos with wildlife and interfering with it's nature habitat. Also included is a 'Keeping it Beautiful' section which reminds and encourages our customers to not litter, leaving rocks and plants where they are and trying to set a good example for other tourists and locals alike.

In Chile we give our customers the opportunity to donate to a local project in Chile who specialise in the conservation of wild chinchillas. They offer support and improvements of the habitat restoration, offering education and outreach programs to improve the environment for the chinchillas.During your time in Valparaiso you will take a half-day tour of the city with a local guide. He is well-equipped to tell you all about his favourite spots in the city from shopping districts to cafes, giving you an insider knowledge you don't get with other city tours. You can also talk about your interests and places you are interested in seeing so these can be combined in the tour.
We work with a local supplier who select their excursions, hotels and transport providers based on morality, honesty and how they can benefit local community. They employ local guides and drivers for their transfers and excursions, which not only benefits the communities and their income potential for their families, but also the added value for our customers to experience Chile with someone who is passionate and knowledgeable of the area. This also extends to the accommodation we choose, prioritising small-scale locally run hotels.
