Responsible tourism: Rwanda gorilla camping safari

During this tour, the clients will be travelling through attractions is Rwanda, we have designed this tour to enable the traveller who wishes to visit this beautiful country with an opportunity to support this country that is growing and being a great example to Africa.

The $1500 Permits, will help the Government and the people of Rwanda in improving their infrastructure and 10% of the amount goes into supporting the local communities living around the Virunga Massive. Conservation is well observed in Rwanda and it contains the largest number of Gorillas in Rwanda
During this tour, we will be staying at a local community camp that promotes conservation, Red Rocks Rwanda is one of the community camps where clients can be involved in Tree planting activities and the camp has less permanent structures which promotes the wellness of the environment.

We will be using a safari van on this tour so as to reduce the amount of emissions being produced by the vehicle, the van is fitted with filters to reduce the amount of carbon being produced and its also one of the recent hybrid vehicles.

Briefing to our clients before and during the tour, enables our clients to have a clear understanding of what they need to do and rules to observe during Gorilla trekking activity

Rwanda is a very clean country, to continue promoting this, we advice our clients to buy refillable water bottles so as to minimise the amount of plastic bottles we dispose to the environment. The bottles used, can be donated to the students or taken back home for re- sue during other tours

Water used in the camps, should be well managed, the campsite contains a water reserve and water rationing can be a big problem during the dry season, we highly advice our clients to use the water resourcefully

The camp uses solar energy during the summer season for lighting, electricity is available for charging and running machineries at the camp.

While on the tour, the clients will have an opportunity to interact with the women of a cooperative called Acts of Hope situated in Rwanda, the cultural activities indicated on the itinerary are all ruined by this cooperative. clients will also have an opportunity to buy baskets and other hand made arts from the women.

During the tour, will be going to various local restaurants for meals and drinks, this will give our clients a complete exposure to the Rwandan people and also it helps in promoting local businesses.

The Cultural activities will be done by our own selected local guides that we have trained, our main initiative was to empower young people within the local communities to understand the importance of tourism and conservation in the current world, the guides are provided with Guide books and english training lessons.

Local language forms are provided to our clients to teach them about the basic commonly used words that ill help them while interacting with the local communities
