As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetWildlife - During our tour, we may encounter some local flora and fauna and we encourage our travelers to interact responsibly with the plants and animals endemic to Ireland. Our expert, local tour guide will also instruct us on how to be responsible travelers as we discover the beautiful wildlife in this country.
Waste - As on all of our tours, we encourage guests to dispose of waste correctly as well as to participate in local clean ups organized or independently. We are also contributors to the social media initiative "5 Minute Beach Clean Up" and we promote initiatives such as this to our customers.
Water & Energy - We try as much as possible to stay in accommodation that encourage responsible water and energy consumption. For example, almost all of our hotels have filtered water for guests to drink in order to reduce plastic waste created by single use water bottles.
PeopleFriends & Neighbours - Our tours use local tour guides rather than large-scale destination management companies. We believe in helping local businesses in order to stimulate the local economy. Also, we try our best to stay in locally-owned and -operated accommodations for a more unique travel experience as well as supporting local business owners.
A Fair Deal - All of our guides and vendors on the tour are paid fair wages well above the local cost of living. We believe that this also helps stimulates the economy and encourages our guides and vendors to provide high quality services with a smile to make our tour an amazing one!
Traveling With Respect - As mentioned above, our guides and vendors are all locally sourced and we like to think of the guides not only as a source of insight into Irish culture, society, history, etc., but also friends to show us all the best places Ireland has to offer. Our tour also takes us into primarily Gaelic-speaking regions such as local villages in Dingle to give travelers a glimpse into the more traditional way of life that still exists in Ireland.
