Description of Croatia motor yacht cruising holiday

Explore secluded bays, idyllic beaches and hidden coves on a classic Croatia sailing holiday.

Most Croatia small ship cruise holidays involve a lot of rushing around, with limited mooring times and early departures. This trip takes a different, far more relaxed approach. Instead of staying overnight off the various islands, you’ll be based in a central location on Korcula. Accommodated at a stylish, spacious villa with superb amenities, you’ll take daily trips out to renowned destinations such as Vis, Hvar and Mlijet National Park aboard a fast and comfortable yacht.

Designed for travellers with a passion for the sea, the sun and excellent Dalmatian cuisine, this tailormade tour has the additional benefit that itineraries can be curated to suit your own interests, and both arrival and departure dates are flexible, in contrast to most Croatia cruise packages.

Staying on Korcula in a villa that's a short walk from the sea and Lumbarda village, you’re just a 30-minute sail away from Mlijet National Park, an island paradise perfect for hiking, swimming and snorkeling. In the other direction you have the alluring Vis, with its famous caves, and Hvar, its historic architecture, pristine scenery and laidback lifestyle making it a popular haunt for the jetset crowd.

You’ll also take a guided tour of Dubrovnik, ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, its old town a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe’s most sought-after travel destinations.

Start every day right with breakfast on your villa’s open balcony, enjoying languid Dalmatian lunches on the sunny deck every day and the company of a friendly, professional crew. This is Croatia small ship cruising, done right.

We had a fab holiday. It was great value for money, the wealth of activities on offer was fantastic. All of Zoran’s staff were helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Helping a local economy/reducing the impact on the environment were added bonuses. Read full review

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

Our Motor Yachts for day cruising are specially designed without Propellers, instead Rolls Royce engineers have developed a water jet system that is safe for sea animals, and our guests to swim safe around the boat. As this is a cruise holiday, polluting the waters is brought out to zero since on our Yacht we implement a save the waves policy which means that simply no one is allowed to throw anything overboard by crew or guests while on cruise . All the waste such a food waste is kept on Board and brought back home on mainland for recycling .There is also Yacht log book for fuel and oil waste which is updated daily on Yacht and controlled on monthly base by official Port harbor master . In order to minimize any negative environmental impact our Yacht use a extra clean Euro Class fuel with minimum emission set up by newest EURO 4 European standards directives .
In regards Accommodation - our Captains Villas as our and our guests base have environmentally responsible practices in place such as water/energy saving initiatives, recycling methods, such as: using our own water since it is collected from a natural source -rain, therefore we have special filters for making this water drinkable and for guests use as well. Our Captains Villa has special solar panels on the roof for water heating and heating in winter months as well.

For Korcula Hill Resort and our Villas we offer an Eco friendly electrical Golf cart vehicle as a green transfer option for all guests from Resort or Villas to the Korcula old town and surroundings.

By booking this trip you get to see a whole new perspective of this beautiful part of Croatian Islands by sailing on our Yacht, visiting completely secluded and deserted bays on our itinerary , mostly known only to our local island people. Kayaking and snorkeling on the hidden and best preserved parts of the clearest sea in Europe, guests are given the chance to explore in a ways which are least harmful to the environment.

A visit to National Park Mljet island sea Lakes and park of Nature Lastovo Island is included in the program - the fees that we pay to the National Park contribute to the conservation of that area.

In our office we minimize printing actions and recycle paper. Most of all, we ensure that negative environmental impacts are drawn to a minimum.

People

By booking this trip you bring much needed income to the people who are still recovering from the war-torn years, as this was the area severely affected by war, especially Dubrovnik old city, Lastovo and Vis islands that were military base in Ex Yugoslav Republic.

This trip ensures that the local people benefit as much as possible in the form of jobs (we employ local guides and drivers only) and provision of accommodation (we use our own family-owned Captain's Villa). We also use our own transfer services, buy food from the small farms and work on developing responsible waste management by stimulating waste recycle.

By buying local products you are supporting this countries’ economy and helping Croatia to stand on her feet again! We consider it our responsibility to lead efforts to maintain and preserve the integrity of this fledgling sector by petitioning the introduction of tighter controls over the use of the country’s natural resources.

Captain's Villa is our small family run hotel that employs local people and in that way is irreplaceable in the community. Our hosts in the small family restaurant prepare breakfasts , lunches and farewell dinner with our own home grown food and fish from our own pond.
