Description of Paris to South of France holiday, tailor made

This Paris to the south of France holiday is a tailor made trip that takes away all the hassle of creating an itinerary, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the romance, history, landscapes and cuisine of this wonderful country. We are proud of the itineraries we create for you, with the ten day one below just a suggestion of the sorts of things we recommend. We like to provide a mix of classics with contemporary, local with luxurious. With private transportation and excursions when possible, and some train travel to cover the longer distances, on France’s excellent high speed network.

Starting in Paris, the capital city that is known to many as the ‘City of Love’, Parisian treats that we recommend include lunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower, a gourmet food tour and a drive around the city in a vintage Citroën 2CV. Your next overnight stop is the historic town of Avignon where you stay in a restored 16th century cloister and also enjoy a guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here you will also get to explore Provence and the famously beautiful villages of Luberon.

The Riviera is your final destination, although we recommend at least three days to enjoy the culture and all round chic of Nice and Monaco, with private excursions in both. Staying in a hotel with a sea view on the famous Promenade des Anglais. Do talk to us about your interests and time frame and we can create an itinerary that ticks all the right French boxes for you.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Our agency tries to promote mainly eco-friendly activities with no harm to environment. Therefore, our holidays have a very strong focus on nature and the environment.

In this program, you'll be discovering many different landscapes of France:
The Loire Valley, where the Loire, France’s longest and partly untamed river making its way to the Atlantic Ocean - Thanks to environment protection and wildlife conservation, many endemic animal species have found refugium in the river valley and the watered woodlands of the Sologne. Visit the Regional Nature Park of Morban with its large lakes, wild rivers, and rich flora and fauna and historical monuments such as the Abbey of Fontenay and the Pope’s Palace in Avignon (both listed in the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE), the impressive mountain chain of the Alpilles and Cevennes, the preserved natural park of Camargue which seems just endless and so much more. We encourage visiting those regions as they stand for protection of coast, nature, urban development and the beauty of the landscape. You can escape mass tourism by discovering the hidden creeks and bays. Don’t miss the main cultural and historic arteries are Marseille, Arles and Aix-en-Provence, the symbol of the Provencal art de vivre. We want our clients to discover the whole variety of France: its nature, culture, history, architecture… to strengthen the cultural awareness.

Having a rental car is still the best way for our clients to make the most of their stay in France and to reach places that are off the more touristy spots. However, we encourage them to leave their car parked to go on unique hikes and excursions to bring them closer to nature and to reduce the ecological footprint. The first days in Paris, we recommend public transport, too.

Our passionate guides can accompany you on bike, boat or walking tours and draw your attention to the region’s rich fauna and flora. They will talk about the region’s history, the animals particular for this region and local craftmanship. In that way, we can encourage the local population in France and help them spread their Art of Living with others, as well as provide our clients with unique encounters and immersive experiences during their travels.

We focus our guest’s attention on local efforts to preserve flora and fauna and we like to think holidays significantly contribute to raising awareness environment. We ask our guests to be aware of their electricity and hot water consumption when they travel with us. We advise our guests about local regulations and protected areas at each destination.

The accommodations on offer are all guesthouses run by locals. Some examples are Isabelle and Jacques who will welcome their guests in a typical apartment in Paris and an ancient monastic water mill that is now a Bed & Breakfast. The accommodating hosts will not only open their homes but also provide their guests with interesting insights into the local culture and homecooked meals as requested. We like to support the local population and let our guests stay in their homes as it is an enriching experience for both sides, and so much more beneficial for everybody than to stay in hotel chains.

Our office minimizes the use of paper by using internet, emails and for marketing purposes we also make use of websites. Our vouchers are electronic to avoid massive use of paper. When we have to use paper, we use the APUR paper, and our Brother’s cartridges are brought to the recycle centre, which has a partnership with CoolEarth.

Our aim is to offer customers a chance to discover a secret France by offering original itineraries. You will stay in guesthouses and meet people that offer warm hospitality, ensure comfort and cleanliness and who are willing to share their environment. We select local suppliers that have the same vision as us to reduce the environmental impact of tourism and preserve local surroundings. They are mostly locals who are happy to share their home, their time or their knowledge: for example Brice, a passionate oenologist, and Michele, an obliging local host offering homemade jam and local honey for breakfast in her beautiful villa next to Marseille.

We select local guides and craftsmen to ensure our activity benefits the local economy. Our guides are able to offer an insight into the local culture and are able to guide visitors to less known sites and unknown treasures. During your stay, you will be accommodated in charming guesthouses, where local hosts open their homes to share with you the French Art of Living. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse in the local culture and to learn about the country and its special characteristics. This is favourable for both sides as our hosts are happy to learn about you to and to share nice moments together.

In this program, we work with local people to protect cultural heritage. You will meet typical local producers from the area which will show you their work and production. A guided food tour, the visit of a vineyard or a tour on a houseboat are a few among many other holiday pleasures. Culinary art is honoured and renowned chefs, traditional innkeepers or adventurous young cooks will lay your table with delicious dishes.

Our experienced local guides will lead through stunning landscapes and exciting cities of France. They can tell you more about their culture and traditions and make you taste regional specialties. Some of our activities with locals include: Oenology Workshop with Valeria or Brice, a tour in Aix-en-Provence with the local guides Lylène and Arthur or a free walk in L’Estaque proposed by our local host Michele. We personally select our local guides and are in regular contact with them to make sure we can offer unique and beneficial encounters for both sides. Also follow the trails of history in renowned museums in Paris or Marseille, in prestigious castles, historical towns and Medieval villages.

You will definitely get a deeper understanding of the area and leave with unforgettable memories. Our vast experience and extensive knowledge enable us to propose packages that will give a true insight into the country they visit. Packages are selected in close relationship with customers and suppliers. We guarantee to replace or refund unavailable products, giving reassurance to the customer.
