Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

The wildlife we will be observing are the Red deer, Reindeer, Roe deer, Red squirrel, Dipper, Crested tit and golden eagles just to name a few. As a qualified South African field guide I am trained to approach wildlife without causing them distress. The Cairngorms has had generations of low intensity management so it has kept much of its wilderness and we will help to keep it that way on this trip.
On this trip we camp which is a low impact form of accommodation, if approached responsibly. We will remove all the waste that we take into the National Park and I will take it to the local waste site so it can be recycled. The body wash that will be provided is environmentally friendly so any cleaning products that we will use will not have a negative impact on the environment.
Showers and phones can be heated/charged by solar panels.
The Impacts of this Trip
Perthshire is visited by people from both the UK and from all over the world and has always given tourists a ceud mìle fàilte (hundred thousand welcomes). Although most of this trip is spent in nature, there is time at the beginning and end to extend the trip and explore the local area. As a local, I am happy to recommend local guest houses and activities should visitors wish to make the most of their time here.
Like most places the local people want visitors to enjoy themselves but expect them to show respect to the local area. We will be respectful of our surroundings so not to disturb locals and visitors alike enjoy the Caringorm National Park. I am a local to the area so you will be in good hands.
You can be happy in the knowledge that 5% of my annual net profits is given to PADS a local dog kennel so your money will be going to help abandoned dogs get kept safe with food and toys until they can find their new home. I have personally gotten dogs from PADS in the past and they take great care of their dogs.
