Responsible tourism

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

This tour is made for our guests to learn about our wildlife and our flora and fauna and to learn how to respect it and to protect it. In addition the beehives seminar learn them how the bee is necessary for our survival and how important is to protect it from extinction. The other activities, that are also agrotourstic show them how nature works to produce its fruits and how we can harvest them with respect to nature and to the trees.

In addition, we encourage our guests to use reusable bottles of water for their tours, sending them an e-mail before the tour where among other must have items is the reusable bottle of water. We also encourage them to walk to the places we visit to get to know the place better and to reduce the harmful use of the car for short distances in the city or around the area we visit. This is also why we prefer to stay in small cities and at the center of the city so the access to everything be easy and without the need of the car.

we believe recycling is one of the most important means to protect our planet, our sea and our beaches. This is the reason why at our office we make organized recycling of paper, plastic, glass and metal, which we collect and carry them ourselves (so we can be sure that the materials are recycled) to a recycling company, which pays us according to the weight and type of recyclable materials we take. The money we collect is offered to local institutions according to their needs.

The Impacts of this Trip

Greece is a very touristic country, where many tourists flock every year to visit the country. Many times, however, the most popular places are not the authentic Greece, because Greece is not only sun and sea. It has so many places with great natural value and so many activities to experience the authentic side of it. In this tour we want our guests to get to know Greece from a different point of view. At this tour we are staying to a non touristic city, where kids are playing in the squares and senior people sit at the small cafes to drink their coffee. You will not see only tourists, touristic places, touristic shops. Only how really greek people live, how they pass their time and how they entertain.

In general, our philosophy is to support local producers and suppliers in the wider region of the Peloponnese. That is why we host our guests in small hotels that are mostly family-run with few rooms that employ staff from the area. We also propose our guests small local taverns that serve local dishes made with pure ingredients from our place.

This tour will show our guests how farmers work and how they make their living. The welcome gifts we offer to our guests are made with pure materials, like pure virgin olive oil and beeswax, which we only buy from local producers, thus ensuring maximum quality and encouraging the agricultural production of our country.

We actively support businesses run by young people who fight against unemployment and bad economical situation that Greece lives the last few years. Also the businesses that we visit in this tour are small family businesses who try to make their best to survise through the bad conditions.

In general, we are trying to empower young people to keep them in Greece and not to leave their country and to contribute to the maximum we can in reducing unemployment that plagues Greece.
