Description of Croatian National Parks sailing holiday

Follow where the wind takes you on this idyllic Croatia sailing adventure, with a liveaboard private yacht piloted by a local skipper, and a wealth of nature-based activities to try as you sail from island to island. Beginning in the popular Pantera Bay on Dugi Otok, you’ll sail through some of the country’s most attractive marine scenery in both Krka National Park, renowned for its waterfalls, and around the islands of Kornati National Park.

The scenery is magnificent, the vibe is all about relaxation, and the opportunities to dive into the warm, turquoise Adriatic are legion. In the daytimes you can swim or kayak to your heart’s content, in the evenings you’ll moor up in lively sailing harbours or secluded bays, to dine on fresh seafood under the stars.

A sailing holiday is the perfect way to explore these pristine natural environments. Cruise slowly through the Strait of Prokljan in Krka National Park to admire the karstic beauty and waterfalls of a park with over 200 species of bird; practise your sailing skills (or just sunbathe) in the archipelago north of Murter; visit historic fishing and sailing communities such as Sali and Skradin, every afternoon promising a sublime sunset. Finishing with a night in Zadar, you can enjoy the fascinating sound and light display created by the Sea Organ and the Monument to the Sun.

This is a tailormade holiday – you can shape the itinerary, and the length, but at heart it will always be about discovering these mindblowing natural treasures, as well as the culture of the communities along the way. Anchors away.

Responsible tourism

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Environment
A beautiful and pristine environment is one of the key elements our region has to offer. We are fully aware of global pollution trends and are big supporters of “Green” tourism and other initiatives. We are collaborating with Green Sails organization in order to promote recycling and sustainable tourism and protect nature, especially the ocean. Our goal is to promote this idea among our guests and we hope they stick to the idea of sustainability also after their holidays are finished.

We encourage our guests to take trips during the off-peak period to prevent overstraining resources. We also educate them on how to reduce the impact on nature and mostly the feedback is great which results in environmentally aware travelers who then go home and continue with the movement and spreading the idea.

Sustainable and environmentally friendly transport – bikes, kayaks, rafts, paddleboards, bikes and sailing boats are means of transportation on our tours. Our company also owns 2 hybrid vehicles.

On top of it, our tours are guided by local guides in partnership with local “green-oriented” partners.

The Impacts of this Trip

Our tours are designed not only to show the natural beauties of our area but also to get the feeling of local life, present, and past, to meet local people and understand their traditions (fisherman, farmers…) and culture. During our activity tours, we include local visits, whether it is local eco farm, wine cellar, olive oil production, lavender oil production, meet a fisherman or similar.

Agrotourism – highlights of our tours are agro-tourism venues, where farmers and fisherman prepare homemade products and provide them for our guests. In these areas, it is possible to taste ancient specialties, see unique sites (old stone olive press, wine cellars, ancient kitchen) and hear “special “stories which cannot be found and seen in most of standard touristic destinations and offers. All the products tasted in agro-tourism have been produced locally and helps continue local traditions and sustainable tourism.

We employ local guides who are professional, multilingual and knowledgeable about areas where they are guiding. We believe this is the best for our guests, the local economy and our business. Also, our suppliers and partners are local and need to have the same “green” vision as we have. Our activities (sailing, kayaking, biking, hiking, diving) gives our guest a chance to explore authentic areas located off the beaten path where tourism is not the main source of income and see the real deal. This also helps in developing those areas.

The main focus of our services is to show local and authentic values of Croatia and Slovenia as well as support local business.
