Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Our local, professional walking guides are Mountain Leader qualified for your safety. This means they’re also well trained in the importance of the protection of the environment in which they’re guiding you. As outdoor adventurers and nature lovers ourselves, we care passionately about ensuring we have no negative impact on our local landscape or the wildlife that calls it home. As well as adhering to the Mountain Leader guiding ratio of 1:10, keeping our group size to such a small number means we avoid damaging the trails and cause less disturbance to the timid wildlife. It also means you enjoy the most authentic, personal experience.
The accommodation for your hiking adventure is a 5* rated hostel, vted in the Top 100 Hostels in the World. This stylish hostel is as environmentally conscious as we are, sourcing furnishings from local businesses wherever possible and, most recently, creating a new breakfast hamper for guests. These hampers are filled with the finest, locally sourced produce and packaged sustainably using reusable wax wraps and glass.
The Impacts of this Trip
At the heart of everything we do is a passion to support our local community. One of the best ways we can do this is to solely work with local independent partners, all of whom are equally passionate about supporting the community in which they're based. Finding employment in rural areas has always been a challenge and often leads to young people feeling they have no choice but to move away when they reach employment age.
Our walking guides all live locally, so not only are we supporting local employment, they know the area like the back of their hand. And when you’re welcoming guests into your home, it’s natural to have a passion for ensuring they have the best possible experience.
We also encourage you to try the local pubs and use the village shop for any supplies you may need. These rural businesses rely on regular trade to keep them open, so please do support them by buying local whenever you can.
