Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Firstly, with being a yacht charter company, marine life is so important to us. On arrival our clients get a full chart briefing making them aware of the reef and marine life and how to protect them. We actively work with Tethys – The Ionian Dolphin Project and Archipelagos. Both are marine mammal and see life charities. We supply our clients with full details on both charities prior to their trip and within their cruising guide as awareness is incredibly important to us. We also ask the clients to update us at the end of their trip if they have seen dolphins, monk seals or any other marine life through-out their charter.
Secondly, we want to ensure we are reducing plastic wherever we can. This starts at the marina where we buy 20L water dispensers so the staff can refill their bottles rather than rebuying new ones. We also supply paper cups for both staff and guests to avoid using plastic cups. On arrival many of our guests head off to the supermarket to provision their yacht before they set sail, we make sure to supply material bags prior to them heading off. This means they don’t have to buy plastic ones at the supermarket. On their yacht they have recycling bin bags for their water bottles, this way they can keep the plastic separate to their normal rubbish.
The Impacts of this Trip
We strive to spread the tourism income to those most in need.
We work with a local taxi company to do the airport collection and drop off and ensure this is paid locally directly to the taxi driver. Within the chart briefing we recommend local restaurants to our guests to ensure they are eating out at the restaurants run by the locals.
We also ensure our customers go off after their charter to explore the destination, and that they are using local tour guides. Over 80% of our staff working in our bases overseas are locals and are trained in full, with no differential between the training given to them and the UK staff. This will include health & safety, hygiene and customer service which benefits the local community huge amounts.
When recommending hotels, we only work with hoteliers which match our environmental values. This ensures the customer experience is a consistent experience through-out their whole time in Greece.
