Our Chile & Patagonia itinerary focuses on regional & local cuisine, sustainable agriculture as well as environmentally responsible travel and conservation of the country’s biodiversity. Our vineyard visit is at a boutique operation that's focused on organic and biodynamic practices as well as water conservation. We prioritize local partners that have an eye toward conservation and protection of the landscape, and we work with restaurants and farms for organic, local foods whenever possible. During our hike, we will be mindful to 'leave no trace' by packing out any waste and we'll also learn about conservation in Torres Del Paine.

When we arrive to Torres Del Paine, we'll partake in an activity with our community Partner - Torres Del Paine Legacy Fund - to learn about the integral work they do in the park like conservation, infrastructure improvement, trail work, as well as a tourism diversification project with the municipality.

In addition to prioritizing local and sustainably produced foods in the included meals and restaurant selections, any time we buy snacks for the road we prioritize fresh and unique local bites. As well, on all of our trips, we focus on reduction of plastic by making sure water is available for refilling personal reusable water bottles and encourage our guests to bring water filtration bottles.

People

We focus on locally owned suppliers throughout the trip including our boutique hotels, local guides, activity providers, and family-owned restaurants. The businesses and restaurants we patron are leaders in their community, providing thoughtful job training and ethical treatment to their staff.

In addition to the environmental impact of our community partner, they also focus on engaging and educating local communities in sustainable tourism development, as well as a tourism empowerment projects and education on destination stewardship with local communities. A portion of our trip sales will be donated to our community partner.

Our native Chilean guides who are with us throughout the itinerary will supply unique insight into the history, culture, and character of Chile, as will each local vendor we've carefully selected. We believe that a sound understanding of the local culture and community is essential to a transformative travel experience, and there is no better way to get that than from hearing through the stories of a local.
