Responsible tourism

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

In our company, we strive for responsible behavior. We do not only limit it to our daily behavior, but try to transfer it to our guests during their holiday time as well.

Slovenia is a very green country, where forests cover almost 60 % of the surface. Also, most of Slovenia is under Natura 2000, so it is in a way preserved against human impact. During our tours, we only use marked paths and trails that have been previously maintained. We never go out of the track and harm more environment. We advise that to our guests as well. We also explain and educate them about the importance of doing so.

As a company, we also help to maintain the local Golovec trails and trails around Kranjska Gora to keep them safe for other people. The goal is to preserve the natural environment the best way we can.

Our trips are small sized, meaning we do not support mass tourism and avoid big tourist spots. That is why, during our trips, you will visit and see some of the more hidden spots, which might not be so touristic but are nevertheless very beautiful.

Water in Slovenia is very clean and we advise guests to bring their own reusable water bottle and refill them during their journey. You can find fresh, drinkable water almost on every corner, so no problem there!

The Impacts of this Trip

We support the local economy, meaning we only employ local guides and collaborate with local businesses. Using those service providers and family-run hotels, we can ensure that tourism income benefits a wider Slovenian economy, distributing the benefits of tourism locally. What is more, that way, we also learn about local habits and traditional culture. The owners are all local inhabitants, whose main income comes from the tourism services, and who have lived there for a long time. They are always happy to share some stories with their guests if time allows!

Also, all the other suppliers we use, have a long-standing tradition of working in the tourism field and thus understand the importance of sustainable tourism for future generations.

We try to include the food suppliers from local areas, we promote Slovenian gastronomy and spread the word about local culture and arts. Whenever possible, our itinerary includes morning market visits or various local festivals/holidays that help promote the Slovenian culture.

As a company, we also volunteer and participate in the organization of various events, that promote a healthy lifestyle and everyday sport.
