E-bike tour from Italy to Austria

Carbon reduction

Your holiday will help support local people and conservation. We must also reduce CO2. Learn about the CO2 emissions of this holiday and how to reduce them.

Environment

All our tours are designed in a way to leave the least impact on the environment we are in. Discovering the 4 countries so close together, but at the same time with such different landscapes, really makes you appreciate nature! But also, reminds you of how fragile and transient nature is, and how important it is to conserve it. To be able to see such versatile terrains and experience quite different cultures is one big advantage of this trip!

So, during our tours, we always bring refillable water bottles and fill them up during the tour with fresh water on the way. We never bike outside marked paths and thus try to not harm the surrounding nature too much. The moto goes to only leave one tire print behind!

Our trips are small sized, meaning we do not support mass tourism and avoid big tourist spots. That is why, during our trips, you will visit and see some of the more hidden spots, which might not be so touristic but are nevertheless very beautiful.

The main "vehicle' during this tour is our e-bike. E-bikes are environmentally friendly and do not cause any harm to the environment. During the tour, we also use shuttles to move around the 4 countries, however, we do try to minimize vehicle transportation by biking around. So, during the whole week, we also use our legs to walk around, which is good for both, us and the environment.:)

Community

During this tour, we stay in various smaller, family-owned hotels. That way we promote local business, but also learn about traditional habits, culture and culinary. The owners are all local inhabitants, whose main income comes from the tourism services, and who have lived there for a long time. They are always happy to share some stories with their guests if time allows!

Also, all the other suppliers we use, have a long-standing tradition of working in the tourism field and thus understand the importance of sustainable tourism for future generations.

We try to include the food suppliers from local areas, we promote local gastronomy and spread the word about local culture and arts. Whenever possible, we always eat fresh seasonal food, that they prepare directly on spot. All the ingredients are locally sourced and represent traditional dishes of the area.

Our guides for the tours are local guys/gals with extensive local knowledge and great experience in mountain biking. We know, first-hand, that understanding the strengths, weaknesses, and flexibility of every local venue and service provider is invaluable for a great holiday experience!
