Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

We have committed to reducing our paper use to a minimum and most of our material is now digital. Plastic is another material we are not very good friends with and that's why we encourage having a re-usable water bottle, as the quality of tap water here is excellent. Reusable bags (we will give you a cool tote bag) for shopping at local markets and avoiding plastic straws are other little things we will be doing. Recycling at our flats, turning lights off and being conscious about water consumption are a given. Are they not? By the way, we encourage you to mention these little initiatives during your encounters with locals, as it will show respect for the destination and you will be leading by example.
It is also important to mention that we will be using public transport and walking whenever possible, as we will lower our emissions but we will also discover places we would otherwise miss and we will understand more the local way of living.
The Impacts of this Trip
The whole point of our experiences is to show you and help you understand the places we visit from a locals perspective. How do we do that? Well, to start with, your host is local; someone born and raised in Riga or someone who loves it so much that has decided to make it its home.
We will show you what makes this Baltic country unique. From the family-owned coffee places to the local guides that love and breath their region and the hemp farmers that have past tradition from generation to generation, everything will be authentic. Do not forget you will even experience a traditional Latvian sauna ritual! We will also tell you what makes Latvian's proud and what has caused conflict in the past, so we can learn from it. We will go beyond and around the obvious and visit different parts of the city and the country; by doing that we will be spreading income across the region.
