Responsible tourism

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

1. We know our wildlife, we are committed to conserving it and encourage guests to follow our lead. We go to Nurata National park and see the wild sheep roaming around, by going to the community we endorse the protection of wildlife.

2. We free the land, sea and waterways from rubbish and pollution. As part of the trip, we collect plastic bags and bottles left in historical sites outside the town and give it to recycling.

3. We show we understand why water is too precious to waste and when it rains, we savour every drop. When we go on tour, we buy a huge container of water to refill our bottles. We also go to the area of the country where water shortage is visible.

4. We reduce our energy and find appropriate renewable energy sources. Our office staff and drivers are encouraged to use CNG cars, and we will be a clear example of saving energy.

5. We build, restore and equip using carefully sourced local materials and in a style that tells the cultural or geological story of the landscape. We support the local families who also follow these rules.

6. We choose suppliers that match our environmental values.

The Impacts of this Trip

1. We know where to find all things local and we support/ recommend our neighbours, spreading tourism income to those most in need. We are the members of the same communities that are providing the services. By travelling with us you would be directly contributing to the local communities.

2. We recognise local issues and actively campaign to address them. One of the issues we are working towards is to maximize the role of the women in our trips. We visit the houses where hosts are women, we go to the workshops of the local women so we could help in empowering the women.

3. We support local projects & people through volunteering, fundraising or charity. During our visit to Samarkand, we volunteer in teaching English to kids. Our company is one of the volunteer organisations that trains new guides in the country and region...

4. We offer local people good working conditions, a fair wage, and empower them with training opportunities. Most of our staff are former migrant worker who were working away from home in Europe and Russia, now they are back at home with the families because we support, train and give them good opportunities. These all positive changes are happening because of our travellers.

5. We sustain jobs and cultural diversity by supporting local craft makers and artisans and promoting cultural attractions. Most of the people who meet with us, and show us their workshops are talked into doing so by our office staff. The bakeries, potteries, textiles masters agree to continue their work because they have our travellers coming.

6. We work to create good relationships between tourists and the local community. We always try to provide authentic experience to the travellers and be in direct contact with the people they meet. Our guides are trained to initiate and support positive cultural exchange between travellers and local people.
