Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

We issue all guests with a Code of Conduct detailing information and guidance of what we expect and specifically highlighting the environmental actions they can take while in Colombia. This includes guidance on water conservation, energy conservation, waste disposal and using environmentally safe and biodegradable toiletries.
We and our partners do not promote any captive animal experiences other than those required to protect and nurture endangered species. Such operations must demonstrate they are operating to the highest ethical, welfare and ecological standards - as independently audited by an NGO, charity or government approved body, before being considered.
In the Cocora Valley, our guests will learn about the sustainability initiatives being undertaken to preserve the land and its communities. In the Coffee Region, guests visit a traditional coffee plantation to see and experience how the local farmers ensure their activities are sustainable and environmentally sound.
The Impacts of this Trip
We are firmly committed to “local delivery”. This stance is defined by our commitment to only use local guides and tour support staff. We do not employ Tour Leaders from the UK. This ensures that we are investing in our chosen destinations and their local communities.
We actively give priority to local suppliers and service providers that demonstrate an active stance regarding their employees’ fair treatment and remuneration and to uphold their social and economic rights. Our excursions and activities focus on the local community (e.g. in Colombia, visiting an organic locally owned coffee plantation and a traditional local market in Bogotá ensures guests, by purchasing directly with local producers, can contribute to the local economy).
Our tours and tailor-made itineraries provide the opportunity to visit local social projects either as an included activity or as an optional excursion. All such projects are vetted to ensure they provide either financial, social or community benefit.
